Single Walled-Double Walled Carbon Nanotubes

Single Walled Carbon Nanotubes

We offer a wide variety of high quality single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) which are available with a variety of purities and functionalities to ensure your success in your work.

We’re happy to provide assistance in selecting the products to fit your needs.

Prices are per gram.

To know the price for a specific product and quantity, please click thru to the individual product page and enter the quantity you need. Our website will display the price for that specific quantity.

Quotes are available online thru our cart. Simply add the products and quantities you need into the cart and then you can print or download a quote.

Please Note- SWNTs can’t be produced homogeneously by CCVD, they always contain significant DWNTs content. For this reason we call all of our former SWNT products a SW-DWNT mix.

We provide aqueous, solvent, & polymer dispersions-emulsions with traditional surfactants or our patented Flexiphene products.

Single Walled Carbon Nanotubes Structure

The wall structure of a Single Walled Carbon Nanotubes (SWNTs) consists of one tube of graphite. There are different types of Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs) because the graphitic sheets can be rolled in different ways during synthesis.

How to recognize the atomic structure of Single Walled Carbon Nanotubes

The three types of Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs) structure are Zigzag, Armchair, and Chiral. It is possible to recognize zigzag, armchair, and chiral Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs) just by following the pattern across the diameter of the tubes, and analyzing their cross-sectional structure.

Single Walled Carbon Nanotubes Synthesis

SWNTs are grown by several methods, arc method (hipco), laser method, & chemical vapor depositon method.

Arc & laser method provide substantially single walled product however they are cost prohibitive to use commercially.

Chemical Vapor deposition does produce very nice SWNTs however there is always substantial double walled nanotube content.

For this reason we call our CVD SWNTs a single walled-double walled carbon nanotube mix.
